Deann Jordan is a Class of 1986 graduate of Detroit’s Pershing Public High School. Deann went on to continue her education at the University of Phoenix graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in July 2002. In May 2012, Deann received a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. Deann is currently employed with the State of Michigan Department of Health & Human Services as an Eligibility Specialist.
Deann truly believes that her God-given purpose in life is to serve others and she is very passionate about saving our youth. She founded Circle of Friends Youth Foundation (CFYF) 501(c)3 in September 2003. The mission of CFYF is to empower and encourage young men & women to succeed beyond their circumstances. CFYF programs include clinical therapy assistance, tutoring, mentoring, job readiness training, drug and violence prevention, and scholarships. Deann raised her son, Jawan as a single parent. She is the grandmother of Mariah and the daughter of Clinnetta Jordan. Deann is a member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis R. Grant.
